Pandora and Hurley have been kind of at odds since we brought the kitten home. It's been 4 months and everybody is starting to settle down. This is the first time that I've found Pandora and Hurley laying next to each other peacefully.
Hurley is my big orange trouble-maker, but he's also a total goof ball.
Every morning Pandora wakes up happy. She is so happy to see my husband and me that she runs back and forth between us wanting pets and cuddles. I believe Pandora is happy because every morning she wakes up and she's in a loving home instead of a cold box at the shelter. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful sweet creature in my life. Pandora gives me so much joy and companionship. I couldn't imagine my life without her and every day I wonder how her previous owner could give her up but I am thankful they did because if they hadn't I would not have my best friend. This morning, Pandora was as silly as ever. She was playful and running around with her tail up. She's such a funny girl.
I always sleep with ear plugs in, because my dear husband snores. Last night I was sleeping pretty soundly when I heard a huge crashing noise. With the ear plugs in, it sounded like one of the kitties pushed all of my bathtub items into the tub at once. I took the ear plugs out and got up to investigate... Lilly is on the bed squished as close to my husband as possible. I look over at Pandora and she's awake too, watching me. I go into the bathroom and turn on the light and everything is in place, I walked down the hall and Hurley is curled up in his bed. I hear the next crashing noise and without the earplugs I can discern that it's thunder.
Living in the desert, I always get excited when there's a storm. I love watching the rain come down and hearing the storm noises. I stayed awake for the next hour or so enjoying the storm cuddling my girls. I don't think Lilly enjoyed the thunder crashes, but Pandora didn't seem too effected. It's funny how the most simple of things can make a person so happy. :)
Lilly loves to get attention from Daddy in the morning as he gets ready for work, naturally he spends most of his time in the kitchen. So by mistake, Vince taught Lilly that the kitchen is a good place to get some love.
I've been trying to teach myself how to cook and I've been making simple meals. I started out with steak tacos, with a pesto like marinade. The marinade I made from scratch with my shiny new food processor. Of course, the whole time Lilly was in the kitchen with me, trying to help. LOL! Lilly being the smart little girl that she is, learned very quickly that Mommy doesn't want her near the oven... I taught her a simple "Out" command that she follows perfectly. I think Lilly likes being "Mommy's Little Helper".
Lilly, testing out my new pyrex dish.
