LuLu
Vince rescued LuLu (an akita/german shepherd mix) on January 2, 2000. She was 3 months old and definitely a handful. She gave him a run for his money by promptly puking and pooping all over the car on the way home. Luckily for Vince she grew out of that pretty quickly when they stopped crating her in the car. LuLu was a "terrible" puppy. She chewed things, mouthed people (especially me) and climbed over the fence and got into bed with strange dogs. LOL! Eventually LuLu grew up into a great dog who loves her people. She loves going for walks and laying in the sun.
RIP Kahlua 1999-2010
After a short battle with cancer, our Lu Lu was helped to the bridge this afternoon in the comfort of her front yard on her favorite bed.
My husband, Vince, got Lu Lu on January 2, 2000 she was 3 months old and the most tenacious puppy. She chewed on everything, she particularly hated Martha Stewart and would chew up all her magazines (one day we came home to a snow storm of Martha Stewart magazine pieces).. She would climb over the fence and run over to the neighbors house, go thru the dog door and get in bed with the neighbors dog. One time she tried to jump out of the window of a moving car to chase a squirrel, luckily my MIL was able to grab her in time. She chased chickens and nosed rabbits. She had all the dogs in the neighborhood as best friends. At dog training she would do all her tricks for the trainer but not for us. Her favorite game was to tell the cat not to scratch the couch by running at her and nosing her. She enjoyed long walks and visiting the ducks at the Lake.
As she grew up she grew into the best dog we've ever had. She was the most wonderful companion, she never met a stranger she didn't like. She was sweet and good. We loved her very much and I have so many funny memories. I'm going to miss her so much.
